A Woodcutter Story

There was a woodcutter who got a job in timber vendor. The compensation was great, therefore, the woodcutter was determined to do the job sincerely.  His manager has showed the area of work and assigned him.

On day one, the woodcutter brought 18 trees.

“Congrats,” the manager said. “Go on that way!”

Motivated by the manager words, the woodcutter invested more energy the following day, however he could just bring 15 trees. The third day he invested considerably more energy, yet he could just bring 10 trees. For quite a while he was bringing fewer and fewer trees.

“I lose my quality”, the woodcutter thought. He went to the manager and apologized, saying that he was unable to comprehend what was happening.

“When was the last time you sharpened your axe?” the manager inquired.

Woodcutter replies “oh… I had no opportunity to sharpened my axe.. I have been very busy trying to cut more tress everyday… ”

Take away from story: In life sometimes we get so busy in life that we forget to enjoy, refresh and rethink. So at a point we need to relax, learn and continue.
